Chiquita

This is our new girl. Her name is Chiquita, a naughty ordinary brownies. Her temper just opposite from Aita's, our older girl. We had her last month, and since then we have two clowns in our home. During these times, we have been introducing her to our favorite walking place, pines forest.

Ferns season

Ferns (Bahasa Indonesia: paku-pakuan, Latin: Pteridophyta) grows everywhere in this monsoon season around Bandung. And now, this time, our backyard is full of these ferns! I took this photo from my bedroom wondow yesterday morning. That time the sky was already heavy, and rain came a bit early.

Coffee fruits

Our sub ordinate is located at north-west of Bandung. It's about 3 km from the center of small satellite city of Cimahi. So, practically, it's out of busy Bandung. Closed to our house, there's a big garden, in which a lot of wild coffee trees grow. It's a picture of some coffee fruits taken yesterday morning.

Wooden Cart

Farmers use this kind of wooden cart to transport branches and grass they collect in the forest. They put all things on that cart and push it from the forest down to their village. They use a "wired hand-break" attached to the handy stick to control this cart when they walk down to the village through the stiffy hill.

Collecting pines branches.

This family, a father and his daughter and son, are collecting pines branches from Cikole forest. They use this wood and pines fruits for cooking. We met this family when Patricia, Aita, Chiquita (our new naughty puppy) and I walked at Cikole forest yesterday. It was a great walk, at beginning of year.

Sky Watch Friday > First morning

The first morning of 2009, I took this amazing sunrise from my backyard. It was yesterday's photo, that I captured several minutes after the first picture I posted yesterday. It's a new beginning, new hope!

Don't forget to visit other amazing sky pictures on Sky Watch Friday page.

Happy New Year 2009!

Colours shimmer in the light
And shapes begin to unveil.
The trees and flowers separate,
With the dawn light rosy and pale.

The sun climbs higher in the sky.
It's light shimmering and warm.
All things now are clearly seen.
A new day has been born.
