Rest Spot

Patricia spotted this place when we visited Curug Cimahi sometime ago. It really seemed nice to take some rest there in a hot day like that time!

Curug Cimahi 06

This Curug Cimahi waterfall is 85 meter height. This waterfall is part of Cimahi river flowing to Cimahi city. If you come here in the rainy season, the water flowing in this river will be much more, hence water falling from the hill will create stunning rainbow. I promised to Patricia, we'll come back here in November-December.

Curug Cimahi 05

The sound of Curug Cimahi waterfall was magnificent. And, suddenly we saw that waterfall between those green and shady trees.

Curug Cimahi 04

At Curug Cimahi, we went downhill slowly, taking our time and enjoying the nature. It was small but nice forest. I told Patricia that it should be an easy walk, and it was, although in some places the pathway is steep but challenging. In one corner of pathway, we found a traditional shop where you could sit, and get some drinks and snacks.

Curug Cimahi 03 > Skywatch Friday

From the valley of Curug Cimahi, I took this photo for my SWF. From this place, I could hear the magnificent sound of waterfall of Curug Cimahi. On the right side of picture is the roof of small musholla, moslem's praying house.

Curug Cimahi 02

Going downhill to Curug Cimahi was relatively easy, but you could find some natural wooden benchs like this here and there, to take some rest. The great thing that I realized after sometimes was green, everything was green! What a soothing environment.

Curug Cimahi 01

Patricia and I decided to visit Curug Cimahi (curug is Sundanese for 'waterfall'). This waterfall is located in Cisarua Village, about 17 km from Bandung. Since we were not sure about the situation, we used motorcycle to reach this place. To my surprise, it was a wonderful journey! The soothing air and green forest were the main attractions along the way. I was happy that our decision of using motorcycle was right. We found that the parking place was full!
After purchasing an entrace ticket, we went down through this stoned way. This Curug Cimahi valley is about 90 meter deep, and I'll show you what we found there in some coming posts.
