Batagor Street Seller

Baso tahu goreng (batagor) is a Bandung traditional food, consists of fried shrimped tofus, siomay, a special food made of starch flour with fish/shrimp. To prepare this food is by cutting all these fried objects into three/four small pieces, then pour with hot peanut sauce on top of it. Add some sweet soy sauce, and a bit kefir lemon. You can find street sellers vending this food every where in Bandung. They normally use a special box just like what you see in the picture above.

I love street food!

My favorites are fish and squid balls, and there are usually three dipping sauces to choose from. I also love barbecued isaw (chicken intestines) but rarely have them because of the danger that they're not cleaned well. One popular item, I have never tried and I have no plans of ever trying — battered, deep-fried day-old chicks!

Yum. We have similar dumplings and tofu meals here but I'd like to taste this one. If we only have a West Java restaurant or stall nearby...
